A Quick Guide to Mauritius
A Quick Guide to Mauritius
A quick guide to Mauritius will help you collect the most important information regarding the island. Mauritius is a wonderful island with so many amazing things to offer. Officially the Republic of Mauritius is an island nation in the Indian Ocean about 2,000 kilometers off the southeast coast of the African continent. The diversity of the island will impress you. For example, you can enjoy a ride through the incredible landscape, relax on one of the beautiful white beaches, wander around the National Parks or experience different cuisines from around the world.
When to visit
The island has a classic tropical climate with warm weather year-round. Even in winter, from May to October, the temperature drops from hot to warm. During summer, from November to April, the days are hot and humid. We don’t recommend visiting Mauritius during the wet cyclone season, from January to March, and avoid the east coast in July and August, when the wind is at its strongest. The best time to visit Mauritius is from May to December when the weather is cool, dry and sunny.
